The Korean Martial Art Of Tang Soo Do is a classical martial
art concerned with traditional martial ways, form and
aesthetics. As
a martial art it is relatively modern, but its roots lie
in the ancient Korean art of Soo Bahk Do, which can be
traced back many centuries. Tang Soo Do is a style
composed from three major areas and styles, which are
Soo Bahk Do (60%), Northern China Kung Fu (30%) and
Southern China Kung Fu (10%) and the Okinawan discipline
of Karate.
Tang Soo Do is not just about learning to defend
yourself, it's also about improving yourself as a
person. Through gradual progression and the attainment
of skills and personal goals, your confidence,
self-belief and self-discipline will increase. Physical
fitness is also important part of Tang Soo Do training,
promotubg the four 'S' factors, Strength, Speed, Stamina
and Suppleness.
Instructor Master John Tomlin is 4 times World Champion,
3 time silver medalist, 4 times European Champion, 3
times National Grand Champion and 12 times National
Champion.
